Ariana Grande wants fans to know PTSD is real.
On Thursday, the 25-year-old pop star shared an image of two brain scans – one a healthy brain and one purportedly showing the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder. She also posted images of scans she claimed show her brain – which resemble the one with PTSD.
Grande captioned the images with “hilarious and terrifying” and “not a joke.”
The singer has said she was diagnosed with PTSD in the wake of the 2017 bombing outside her concert in Manchester, England that killed 22 people.
Last year, Grande told British Vogue: “It’s hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss. But, yeah, it’s a real thing.”
