Canadian actor Stephen Amell learned this week that it doesn't pay to imply that Beyoncé is anything less than fabulous.
The Arrow star was slammed on social media after he tweeted about leaving Coachella early on Saturday.
“When Beyonce gets on stage I’ll be watching*,” Amell wrote.
“* - The #AndreTheGiant documentary at home because I left 20 minutes before she comes on.”

Amell, who is known as a straight-shooter on Twitter, sparked a firestorm of attacks on him and his family.
“Coming for bey? You might want to take acting classes first,” read one reply.
“I hope all ur sports team flop so bad 4 coming for queen bey the disrespect,” another read.

Amell’s made-in-Vancouver series was also targeted following his tweet.
“Just like the millions of people who chose to change the channel or simply turn the tv off 20 mins before arrow come on..?,” read one reply.
Another tweet read: “Kind of like how no one watches your show because they’re all too busy watching The Flash and Black Lightning.”
Amell fired back: “I think Beyonce is amazing. This was about traffic. We were home to watch Destiny’s Child come out and be fantastic. Just relax.” Later, he declared: “Beyonce won Coachella. No other act was anywhere close to her.”

Despite getting support from many, the insults kept coming.
Amell tweeted: “Beyonce fans are very very sensitive. Remind me never to make a passive joke about music. Holy f***ing s**t.
“Let’s do a hypothetical and say I WAS insulting Beyonce. Peoples capacity to take a tiny slight and fire back with deeply personal tweets is alarming. What a bunch of f***ing losers.”
Someone who thought I was dissing Beyonce this weekend referred to me as Walmart Batman. I’m going to put it in my bio, because I think it’s amazing.
