The body of aspiring rapper Kent Won’t Stop was found Sunday in the trunk of a car – and his longtime friend has been arrested.
The 25-year-old artist, whose real name is Brian Trotter, had been missing since he left his Virginia home on Oct. 17 with pal Robert Coltrain, also 25.
On Sunday, Coltrain was involved in an accident on a highway near Miami. Police officers noticed a strong odour coming from his silver Acura as well as flies buzzing the trunk. According to a police report, they discovered a male body “wrapped in a piece of fabric and in an advanced stage of decomposition.”
Coltrain was charged Monday with second-degree murder and illegal transport of human remains. He is accused of shooting Trotter with a Block .45-caliber pistol that was found in the car.
Police said a motive for the killing has not been determined.
Trotter released an EP, Threat Level: Armageddon last year and, earlier this month, dropped the single “Embracing Light and Iron.”
