They’re a big deal in Australia and they’ve got a solid Canadian following, but if you’re not familiar with Bliss n Eso, you’ll have a chance to become acquainted later this year.
The hip hop act is embarking on a 15-date tour of Canada that kicks off Sept. 15 in Victoria.
The tour is in support of their sixth studio release Off the Grid, which is currently No. 15 on the Australian albums chart — after peaking at No. 1. The single “Moments” feat. Gavin James, is currently at No. 30 on the singles chart Down Under.
“We can’t wait to get on the road in front of our Canadian fans,” MC Eso said, in a release. “Now that the album is out we excited to get out there and perform a bunch of new bangers along with some of our classics!”
Bliss n Eso (aka Jonathan Notley, Max MacKinnon, and Tarik Ejjamai) are no strangers to Canada. They debuted at a festival in Whistler, B.C. in 2007 and headlined Canadian tours in 2009, 2012 and 2013.
In their native country, Bliss n Eso draw tens of thousands of fans to their shows but in Canada the venues are more intimate.
