Barry Gibb, the last surviving member of the Bee Gees, has revealed that he was almost molested as a child.
Speaking to Radio Times in the UK, the 70-year-old music icon opened up about the experience.
“I’ve never said this before, Jesus Christ, should I be saying it now?” Gibb said. “But there was a moment in time when a man tried to molest me when I was about four years old.
“He didn’t touch me, but other things happened, and happened to other kids.”
Gibb said the pedophile was eventually arrested. “They woke me up during the night,” he recalled of investigators.
“Four years old and a policeman on your bed at four in the morning, interviewing you!”
Gibb said the experience has stayed with him.
“If that doesn’t teach you about life, nothing does,” he said. “But it’s vivid for me still. I’ve never told anybody.”
