Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” took home Song of the Year, but it was Taylor Swift who was the big winner at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles this evening (March 17).
Although she was not in attendance at the event, the global superstar took home a handful of the awards including Artist of the Year, Pop Album of the Year for The Tortured Poets Department, Favorite Tour Style, Favorite On Screen, Favorite Surprise Guest (Travis Kelce), and Tour of the Century, which she acknowledged in a pre-recorded video message.
“I think about that tour constantly,” said Swift, who led all artists with ten nominations. “I’m so proud of it. And the only reason I was able to take on those challenges, among others, the ambition of the production, the length of the show, the amount of shows, all the different countries we played in, that’s all because of the fans. You made the songs for the last couple decades into what they became so that we could do a three and a half hour setlist. You had the passion and the generosity to care about traveling to see us on tour in all these places all over the world. It blows my mind. I’m never going to stop being grateful for it, and I appreciate this more than you know.”
Other big awards handed out included Album of the Year to Billie Eilish for Hit Me Hard and Soft, the Innovator Award to Lady Gaga, the Icon Award to Mariah Carey and the Landmark Award to rapper Nelly.
Gracie Abrams was recognized for her big year with the Breakthrough Artist Award, while Best New Artist was acknowledged in multiples genres and awarded to Teddy Swims (Pop), Shaboozey (Country), BossMan Dlow (Hip-hop), 4BATZ (R&B), Fontaines D.C. (Alt and Rock), Kapo (Latin Pop/Urban), Xavi (Regional Mexican) and ILLIT (K-pop).
