Beyonce, who is pregnant with twins, has reportedly backed out of her scheduled Coachella performances on April 15 and 22. The singer postponed her set to 2018.
In a statement to The Associated Press on Thursday, Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment and festival producer Goldenvoice said the singer had to pull out of the festival “following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months.”
The announcement also said: ""However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding."
Coachella officials did not disclose who will perform in Beyonce's absence. It would have marked the first time she performed at the festival, and she would have been the first female act to headline Coachella since Bjork in 2007.
The stacked lineup was first announced in January, billing Radiohead on Friday with the xx and Mac Miller, Beyonce on Saturday with DJ Snake, Future, and Martin Garrix, and Kendrick Lamar on Sunday with Lorde, DJ Khaled, Tove Lo, and others.
