Beyoncé said on Monday she will assist victims of Hurricane Harvey.

The Houston-born superstar told the Houston Chronicle, in a statement: “My heart goes out to my hometown, and I remain in constant prayer for those affected and for the rescuers who have been so brave and determined to do so much to help.”

Thousands of people have been displaced by Harvey, which caused massive flooding.

Beyoncé said she is working with her BeyGOOD organization and Houston pastor Rudy Rasmus “to implement a plan to help as many as we can.”

Earlier, Canadian rapper Drake pledged his support for the people of Houston. Via social media, he said he is working with local relief groups to aid and assist the people of Texas in anyway we can and in the most immediate way possible.”
