A judge on Monday granted Billie Eilish a temporary restraining order against a man who she accuses of repeatedly showing up at her home.
Prenell Rousseau, 24, must stay at least 200 yards (183 metres) away from the singer and her family and must cease all contact. A hearing is scheduled for June 1.
According to TMZ, Rousseau allegedly first showed up at the Eilish house last Monday asking if the singer lived there. He returned that night and exhibited “erratic behaviour,” according to legal documents.
“While we waited for security, Mr. Rousseau remained on our porch, sat down and began to read a book, while also continuing to engage in a periodic monologue. My father repeatedly asked him to leave, but he refused.”
Rousseau is accused of returning to the house several times.
He was arrested twice but police said there is little they can do because, TMZ reported, “trespassing is a non-violent offence and they’re trying to keep non-violent offenders out of jail due to the spread of COVID-19.”
