A dozen of Billy Joel’s prized motorcycles were vandalized this past weekend during a break-in at his home in Long Island, New York.
TMZ reported Wednesday that police were called after the 70-year-old singer arrived on Monday morning to find the destruction. Joel’s home office was also reportedly vandalized.
The break-in occurred between 3:30 pm on Saturday and 8:15 am on Monday, according to Nassau County police. There was no property reported stolen.
Joel has collected more than 100 classic motorcycles during his career. Last year, the “Piano Man” appeared on Jay Leno ’s Garage to show off some of his collection on display at 20th Century Cycles in Oyster Bay, New York.
“I wanted to have a place where bikers could come and be a community and look at each other's stuff," he told Leno.
