The Twitterverse may think it knows the meaning behind Blake Shelton’s infamous “karma” tweet, but the country superstar is setting the record straight.
The Voice coach told Entertainment Tonight “people are way off the mark” with assumptions about who the tweet is about.
“If it was meant for people to know exactly what it meant, it wouldn’t have been so cryptic,” Shelton told ET. “But I can tell you it’s been, actually, very entertaining to watch the world run with it and assume what they think it’s about.”
Been taking the high road for a long time.. I almost gave up. But I can finally see something on the horizon up there!! Wait!! Could it be?! Yep!! It’s karma!!

Shelton sent fans into a frenzy last week when he tweeted: "Been taking the high road for a long time... I almost gave up. But I can finally see something on the horizon up there!! Wait!! Could it be?! Yep!! It’s karma!!”
Most assumed the singer was addressing his ex-wife Miranda Lambert, who recently split from Anderson East after two years.
As for the reactions, Shelton said he doesn’t “have time to worry about it.”
