Brad Paisley will join previously announced headliner Luke Bryan at the inaugural LASSO Country Music Festival in Montreal this summer.
Also coming to the city’s Jean Drapeau Park are Old Dominion, Morgan Wallen, Brett Kissel, Runaway June, Jordan David and the James Barker Band.
The weekend line-up includes acts like Blanco Brown and The Washboard Union. More acts will be added in the weeks to come.
LASSO takes place Aug. 14 and 15. There will also be pre-festival shows at venues in Montreal on Aug. 13.
Festival passes, priced between $200 and $400, are now on sale. Single day passes will go on sale at a later date.
When it was announced last June, LASSO was described as “an urban country music jamboree” (the original Aug. 15-16 dates were later changed to Aug. 14-15) designed to meet the demand for country shows in the Quebec market.
“As a country singer, we don’t get the opportunity to play in Montreal,” Brett Kissel told the crowd during a 2017 show in the Old Port. “Very rarely do country singers come here and I think that’s a shame because some of the best fans in all of music are right here.”
