Britney Spears has reportedly sought a temporary retraining order against former manager Sam Lutfi.
According to The Blast, lawyers representing the pop star filed documents in Los Angeles on Tuesday. They want Lutfi to have no contact with Spears, her sons, and her parents.
Lutfi, who managed her career in the early 2000s, has allegedly been sending harassing and threatening texts and tweets that have caused Spears and her family “severe mental trauma.”
The documents, according to the report, claim Lutfi is trying to end the singer’s conservatorship arrangement by encouraging “vigilante action, bribes and release of private information.”
He is accused of threatening to release “trunks” of photos and other material that could be damaging to Spears.
Spears recently completed treatment for mental health issues.
Lutfi has been busily retweeting messages from people supporting and defending him. On Tuesday he tweeted an emoji of an American flag and the words: “First Amendment.”
