Britney Spears confessed on Wednesday that her love of candles sparked yet another fire – this time one that destroyed her home gym.

“I haven't been in here for like six months because I burnt my gym down, unfortunately," the pop star said in an Instagram video. “I had two candles, and yeah, one thing led to another, and I burned it down.”

In the caption, Spears recalled: "It was an accident …. but yes …. I burnt it down. I walked past the door to the gym and flames BOOM !!!!!! By the Grace of God the alarm went off after that and yippy hoorah nobody got hurt.”

Spears nearly burned down her New York City apartment in 2002 after leaving a candle unattended in front of an air vent. Firefighters were able to knock down the flames.

At the time, the “Toxic” singer’s mother Lynne Spears revealed that her daughter once caused a fire in the bathroom of the family’s Louisiana home with a candle.
