Britney Spears was revealed Tuesday as the new face of Japanese-French clothing brand Kenzo.
The 36-year-old appears in several different images for the La Collection Memento No. 2 campaign, which was shot in L.A. by Peter Lindbergh.
“There is something very courageous about the younger generation just wearing whatever they want all the time, but I don’t know if I could do it at this point,” Spears told Vogue. “I think I would go and hide under a rug or something, because I’ve been dressing a certain way the past 15 years and I wouldn’t know how to react to a big change.”
On social media, some people are complaining that Spears is almost unrecognizable in the heavily Photoshopped photos.
“Are we… sure… that this is Britney Spears…?,” tweeted New York Times pop music critic Joe Coscarelli.

Who is that? I dig me some Britney but I didn't even recognize her in this photo. Is it a Photoshop issue or what? https://t.co/ciJdScMGyA

The Kenzo photoshoot is lit. But like. Why’d the photoshop Britney’s face so weirdly in some pictures...

Britney’s new face is the new face of Kenzo? Does she have an entirely new face or is this extreme photoshop? Is this even Britney Spears? https://t.co/VrVOFr3YTI

Love me some BritBrit but holy hell they either went heavy with the photoshop, she’s pumped with fillers or both. She doesn’t look like herself https://t.co/xynaUK1bMR
