Britney Spears reminded fans on Tuesday to stay home during the COVID-19 outbreak by sharing an illustration by a Venezuelan artist on Instagram.
The drawing shows Spears, as she appeared in the 1998 video for “…Baby One More Time,” holding a bottle of hand sanitizer. It also shows the first line of the song, “My loneliness is killing me” – with “killing me” crossed out and replaced with “saving me!”
Patricia Urrutia posted the illustration on her Instagram on March 22.
Spears captioned her repost: “Enough said and thank you to all of the healthcare workers tirelessly working to keep us safe during this time !!!!”
The 38-year-old pop star has been using Instagram to share words of encouragement during the COVID-19 crisis. “So many of us get stir crazy about what’s going on,” she wrote in March 25 post, "and although I don’t have all the answers .…. I do know how to try to stay strong and positive and show courage.”
In a March 30th post, Spears wrote: “Thank you to all of the wonderful people helping us get through this time !!!!!”
