Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi masked up for a new campaign to encourage New Jersey residents to protect themselves and others from COVID-19.
“Wear a friggin’ mask!,” read billboards featuring Springsteen, 71, and Bon Jovi, 58, along with comedian Jon Stewart.
“Teamed up with some fellow New Jerseyans to encourage everyone this holiday season to wear a friggin’ mask,” Springsteen wrote on social media. “Let’s all come together and #MaskUpNJ so we can get back to what we do best – singing along and dancing together.”
Back in June, the Boss slammed U.S. president Donald Trump for not encouraging Americans to protect each other from the virus. “With all respect, sir, show some consideration and care for your countrymen and your country,” he said on his radio show. “Put on a f**king mask.”
Springsteen and the E Street Band are booked as the musical guests on the Dec. 12 episode of Saturday Night Live. It is their first appearance on the show since December 2015.
