Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson are being sued by female rap trio The Sequence over their Grammy-winning hit “Uptown Funk."
The Sequence alleges the 2014 song sounds similar to their hit “Funk You Up.”
The group released “Funk You Up” in 1979 and it was the third rap song to ever hit the Billboard Top 50 Singles chart. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the group claims the Mars and Ronson track has "significant and substantially similar compositional elements."
