BTS is keeping the excitement going in 2020.
On Christmas Eve, the K-pop group’s label posted an image on social media showing the reflections of all seven members – V, Jungkook, Jimin, SUGA, Jin, RM and J-Hope – above the word “TOUR.”
The tweet was captioned: “April 2020. Stay tuned.”
BTS has embarked on five tours since 2014 but only one – the Love Yourself World Tour – including Canada. The group performed three nights in Hamilton, Ont. in September 2018.

Last month, South Korea’s Defence Ministry said it will not revise its exemption rules for compulsory military service, meaning the members of BTS will have to register.
The country’s law requires males to register to start their military service by the time they are 28. There are exemptions – but not for K-pop stars. (BTS accounts for $6 billion of South Korea's GDP). Jin, the oldest member of BTS, turned 27 earlier this month.
As of June 2020, the term of military service will be 18 months, down from two years.
The head of BTS’s label Big Hit Entertainment told The Hollywood Reporter in October: “The company believes military service is a duty, and we will try to show the fans the best of BTS until, and after, the members have fulfilled their service duties.”
