BTS fans are going crazy for Paper magazine’s annual “Break The Internet” issue, which features the K-pop phenoms surrounded by the colourful art of Lisa Frank.
“We combined three cultural powerhouses: BTS, our cover stars; Lisa Frank, who created custom artwork; and Virgil Abloh, whose Spring 2020 collection for Louis Vuitton Men appears on the group,” reads an editor’s note.
RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook are pictured together and separately in a series of images.
Paper also published a Q&A in which the group members opened up about the pressures they feel (“Showing a performance that is close to perfection,” said V) and their goals for the future (“I would like to have a hobby since I never had one,” Suga said.)
They admitted that getting along has been the greatest challenge they have faced.
“Seven grown men always staying close together and experiencing work and life at the same time means that we come face to face with numerous contradictions and differences,” said RM. J-Hope added: “There was a time when we fought each other quite a bit because we all came from different backgrounds and our personalities were so different.”
Asked if there is advice they wish they could have given their younger selves, both Jin and Suga replied: “Study English!”
