Budweiser is marking the 25th anniversary of the Toronto concert venue that bears its name with a commemorative can.
On it are illustrations that pay homage to a handful of the acts that have graced the Budweiser Stage (formerly known as Molson Amphitheatre) including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Drake, Pearl Jam, Nickelback, Arcade Fire and Black Sabbath.
The beer can also immortalizes one particular rock fan whose consumption of perhaps too much beer made him infamous – and very wet.
“So, I guess I made it on a beer can lable (sic),” Chris LaRocque wrote on Facebook. “I wonder if I can get free beer?”
LaRocque is the guy who tried to swim back to the Budweiser Stage after being ejected from a concert last year featuring bands like Slayer and Anthrax . He was pulled from the water, treated by paramedics, and questioned by police.
“I was wearing $200 worth of concert shirts in the water,” he wrote on Instagram shortly after the incident. “Ya really got to dress in layers!”
Now, LaRocque can relive the moment every time he cracks open a commemorative can of Bud.
