Calvin Harris has said that today’s EDM doesn’t sound like the music he’s creating.
In response to a fan who asked him via Twitter if he plans to go back to EDM, Harris tweeted: “EDM has been sad, slow songs for years now. Doesn’t have anything in common with the music I love to make. 2010-2014 edm was more house influenced to me.
"Anyway now I’m out the bubble and making big records with amazing singers that sound like house music to me…”

The Scottish producer also told fans a full album of house music is unlikely (“I have a very short attention span nowadays”) but he’s got new music in the works (“Got some madddd records coming out next year”).
When some tweeted: “Good to hear you've moved away from that nonsense and back to doing what you know best,” Harris got defensive.
“Never been nonsense mate all my songs are class,” he replied.
