The latest single from Scottish DJ Calvin Harris was released last night (Feb. 23). “Slide” features R&B mastermind Frank Ocean and rappers Migos.
It marks the first original song from Harris in 2017. The song has already topped the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart, which points to a likely debut at no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
The lyrics spin a tale of a girl who wants to “slide” into someone’s life merely for the financial benefits, as Ocean sings, “All this jewelry ain't no use when it's this dark/ This my favourite part, we see the lights, they cut so far/ It went too fast, we couldn't reach it with our arm.”

Harris, 33, has been teasing the single on his Snapchat during the past couple weeks. Just before “Slide” hit streaming services, the DJ tweeted, “All my songs in 2017 have been sonically designed to make you feel f--king incredible.”
The DJ has a slew of upcoming dates at Las Vegas’ OMNIA night club, where he has a three-year residency deal.
