Calvin Harris has revealed he technically died six years ago.

In a reply to a throwback video tweeted by a fan, the 36-year-old hitmaker reflected: “Interesting year for me 2014, started with me knocking myself off number 1 in the UK and ended with my heart getting restarted in the ER…”

Harris didn’t offer any further details.

In November 2014, the Scottish DJ and producer behind tracks like “We Found Love” and “Summer” cancelled an appearance at the MTV Europe Music Awards. At the time, he tweeted: “Got some heart problems. Heading home to see if it can be fixed.”

Harris later shared that he was diagnosed with arrhythmia, a condition wherein the heart beats too fast, too slow or irregularly.
