Avicii released a video Wednesday for “You Be Love” – a track that features the distinctive voice of Canada’s Billy Raffoul.
Neither the 28-year-old DJ/producer nor the 22-year-old singer appear in the video.
“It's a pretty special one where the characters are completely frozen in time,” Avicii explained on Twitter, “and you can only understand the mode they are in by expressions and poses.”
The song, released back in August on Avicii's EP Avīci (01), was co-written with Hillary Lindsey and Nathan Chapman.
“You Be Love” is a showcase for Raffoul, who hails from Leamington, Ont. The son of two creative people – his mom is an artist; his father is a musician – he started playing guitar when he was just 10 years old.
The singer is on tour early next year, including stops on Feb. 20 in Montreal and Feb. 21 in Toronto.
