Canadian singer-songwriter Rose Cousins said Friday she is “devastated” after her “precious instruments” were stolen from a rental car in Los Angeles.
The Halifax-based musician is scheduled to perform in Seattle on Saturday, in Portland on Sunday, and on Tuesday in San Francisco.
Someone smashed the window of the car and stole her Martin guitar and Harmony Baritone ukulele.
“I wish whoever took my babies will see this post and know that I’d pay to have them back,” the singer wrote on Instagram. “This is a hard goodbye … I pray for the thieves that things get better for them soon.”
Last October, Canadian rock band 54-40 appealed for the public’s help after “irreplaceable” instruments were stolen from their van in New Westminster, BC. In 2017, Honeymoon Suite had two guitars and assorted gear stolen from a vehicle in the Fort Erie, Ont. area.
STOLEN in LA. My precious instruments on the eve of a small West Coast US tour. If you’re in Seattle or San Fran and can lend an acoustic electric and/or bari uke, send me a note. #devastated pic.twitter.com/4iHgLRvbTZ
