Canadas Shawn Mendes Wins Big At UK Teen Awards

Canada’s Shawn Mendes was the big winner at this year’s BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards in London.

The singer took home two of Sunday night’s top awards: Best International Solo Artist and Best Single (for “Stitches”).

Mendes beat fellow Canadians Drake and Justin Bieber in the International Solo Artist category, as well as Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez.

Winners are determined by fan votes.

Mendes also performed during the show, which took place at the SSE Arena Wembley.

Adele won best British solo artist and The Vamps were named best British group.

The award for best international group went to 5 Seconds of Summer.

Taylor Swift won most entertaining celebrity.

The awards included best film, which went to made-in-Toronto Suicide Squad
