Gordon Deppe, frontman for Canadian band the Spoons and guitarist with A Flock of Seagulls, tied the knot with girlfriend Megan Crockett on Wednesday.
The 60-year-old singer married Crockett, a PEI-born equestrian and pharmacist who is 13 years younger, at the Grand Hotel Baglioni Firenze in Florence, Italy.
Deppe has roots in Germany as well as Vancouver but has spent most of his life in Ontario, where he formed the Spoons in 1979 and had hits like “Romantic Traffic,” “Tell No Lies” and “Nova Heart.”
The band continues to perform live and, earlier this year, released its ninth studio album, New Day New World. Deppe has also been lead guitarist in British group A Flock of Seagulls since 2017.
It is the second marriage for Deppe, who is the father of three.
