The 2020 Canadian domination of the U.S. charts continues next week, when NAV’s Good Intentions is expected to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 album chart.
Released on May 8, Good Intentions is benefitting from strong streaming numbers and from being offered as part of merchandise bundles, according to Billboard.
Whether or not NAV is No. 1 on the May 23-dated chart will be revealed on Sunday. If so, it will be the 30-year-old Ontario rapper’s second No. 1 album after 2019’s Bad Habits.
Currently, Drake’s Dark Lane Demo Tapes is No. 2 on the Billboard 200 (his 2018 album Scorpion is No. 36) and The Weeknd’s After Hours is No. 6. Changes by Justin Bieber finds itself at No. 23 after debuting at No. 1 and Tory Lanez holds the No. 38 spot with The New Toronto 3.
With NAV joining the chart this week, Canadian artists could have as many as six spots in the Top 40.
