What a year it was for Canadian artists!
Eh-list talent is all over Billboard's annual year-end charts, which were published Tuesday.
Nearly half of the Top 10 spots on Billboard’s list of the Top Artists of 2017 are held by Canadians.
Drake is ranked No. 3 on the year-end list behind Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars. The Weeknd is No. 5 followed by Justin Bieber at No. 7 and Shawn Mendes at No. 9.
Two other Canadians made the cut: Alessia Cara at No. 27 and Celine Dion at No. 73.
Drake, Bieber, Mendes and Cara each have three tracks on Billboard’s Hot 100 Songs of 2017 chart.
Bieber shows up at No. 2, where the remix of “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee is right behind Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” as well as the No. 12 track, “I’m The One” by DJ Khaled, and “Let Me Love You,” the No. 46 song from DJ Snake.
Cara’s collaboration with Zedd, “Stay,” is the year’s No. 17 song and her hit “Scars To Your Beautiful” is No. 30. She’s also featured on “1-800-273-8255,” the No. 31 song from Logic ft. Khalid.
Mendes has the No. 23 song (“There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back”), No. 54 (“Mercy”) and No. 92 (“Treat You Better”).
Drake’s “Fake Love” is No. 37 and “Passionfruit” is No. 65. He’s also featured on Gucci Mane’s “Both,” which is at No. 83.
The Weeknd’s “Starboy” and “I Feel It Coming” ft. Daft Punk rank No. 20 and No. 34 respectively.
The Top 5 of Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart for 2017 includes The Weeknd’s Starboy at No. 3 and and Drake’s More Life at No. 5. (Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. holds the top spot.)
Drake, in fact, has a total of six entries on the chart. Views is at No. 13; Take Care is No. 63; If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is No. 86; and Nothing Was The Same is No. 105. What A Time To Be Alive from Drake and Future is in the 174th spot.
The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind The Madness is ranked No. 47 and Trilogy is No. 154.
Mendes’ Illuminate and Handwritten are at No. 22 and No. 176 respectively and Bieber’s Purpose finished the year in the No. 68 spot. Cara earned No. 112 with Know-It-All.
Also repping Canada on the Top 200 Albums chart is Michael Bublé with Christmas (No. 146) and Shania Twain’s Now (No. 188).
