Millions of people social distancing this month are binge-watching the bizarre docs-series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness. (If you haven’t seen it yet, you may not want to read any further.)
Among those obsessed with zoo operator and wannabe country singer Joe “Exotic” Maldonado-Passage and his supporting cast of characters is Cardi B.
The rap star has been tweeting regularly about the series since last Thursday. “What ya think bout TigerKing?,” she asked her 10.8 million followers.
After calling Big Cat Rescue owner Carole Baskin a “slick b**ch,” Cardi asked “Who you think is more wrong ? Narcissist Joe ? Or Greedy Carol ? And why ?” and then “Who you think burn Joe studio?”
Clearly, Cardi is on Team Joe.
“They did Joe so dirty over and over again,” she tweeted. On Saturday, Cardi pledge to start a GoFundMe campaign for Joe, who is serving a 22-year sentence for hiring someone to kill Baskin as well as animal welfare charges.
Joe recently filed a $94 million lawsuit against prosecutors and his former business partner and has asked for a presidential pardon.
Dillon Passage, his third husband, is now living in Florida and sharing photos and videos on Instagram – including several from EDM festivals. In response to a question in the comments section of one post, Passage replied: “I’m still married to joe but my social media platform isn’t used for any joe things.” Elsewhere, he said Joe has been moved from the federal prison in Grady, Oklahoma to “another facility.”
