Cardi B is being sued by her former manager.
Klenord “Shaft” Raphael, who was canned by the rap star last month, filed suit Thursday, seeking $10 million US.
“Since discovering Cardi B in 2015, Shaft has played an integral role in developing her music career and public image,” read a statement from Raphael’s rep. “While he is proud of their successful collaborations as she evolved from Instagram influencer to music megastar, Shaft is disappointed by her actions to freeze him out of her career.”
The lawsuit alleges breach of contract, unjust enrichment and defamation.
None of the allegations have been proven in court and reps for Cardi B have not yet responded to the lawsuit.
