Putting together a hit record takes work – and Canadian pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen isn’t afraid to ask for a little help from her friends. It also helps when those friends are known superproducers who have collectively shaped the Billboard charts in the past few years.
Most recently, Jepsen was seen working in the studio with Bleachers’ Jack Antonoff, who was behind Taylor Swift’s hit “Out of the Woods”.
The pair initially worked together for the Emotion album, but Antonoff’s songs sadly didn’t make the cut. Jepsen, however, provided vocals for Bleachers’ song “Shadow”, off of their album Strange Desire.

The 31-year-old singer was also pictured in studio working with Charli XCX.
Jepsen has previously iterated that this new album, allegedly titled 99 cent dreams, will be “disco-inspired”. She’s even shared a Spotify tracklist of inspiration for the record, titled “Carly’s Jams”.
“I can’t explain what we’re doing right now, but we’re very much into disco-y things, whatever this next album may or may not turn out to be,” she told the Vancouver Sun. “But I’m very much referencing ABBA a lot, and the Bee Gees, all of that stuff.”
99 cent dreams is expected out later this year.
