Céline Dion and Lady Gaga are set to perform a duet of Édith Piaf’s "La Vie en Rose" at Friday's Opening Ceremony for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
After much speculation, the two stars rehearsed the performance last night, according to French journalist Thierry Moreau, who added that Dion "will be dressed by Dior with a pink and black feather cape."
"La Vie en Rose" is a Parisian staple, originally released by Piaf in 1947, and very familiar to both artists. Gaga famously sang a version of the song in her Oscar-nominated role as Ally in A Star Is Born, while Dion has been performing the song for more than 30 years.
Dion and Gaga have both been gracing the fans in Paris with their presence while they've been preparing for the big show.
Dion posted a tribute to the City of Lights on her socials, sharing a photo of herself at the Louvre with the caption, "Every time I return to Paris, I remember there’s so much beauty and joy still to experience in the world. I love Paris, and I’m so happy to be back! Thank you to our wonderful friends at The Louvre!"
