Only a week into her Courage world tour, Céline Dion has postponed the first four of six shows in Montreal.
According to promoter Evenko, the singer has a throat virus and is under doctor’s orders to rest.
Thursday’s concert at the Bell Centre has been bumped to Nov. 18 and Friday’s will move to Nov. 19. Dion’s Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 shows have been moved to Nov. 21 and 22 respectively. Tickets will automatically be re-assigned to the effected dates.
Dion’s Oct. 4 and 5 shows in Montreal are not affected.
The Canadian singer kicked off the Courage tour on Sept. 18 with three concerts in Quebec City. She has a pair of shows next month in Ottawa and will play Toronto on Dec. 9 and 10 in Toronto and next April in Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon and Winnipeg.
The news of the postponed shows came only hours before Dion unveiled the video for “Imperfections,” one of three singles she has released from her new album Courage, out Nov. 15.
