Canadian superstar Céline Dion tops the U.S. album chart this week for the first time in 17 years.
Courage, Dion’s first English-language studio album since 2013’s Loved Me Back To Life, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 dated Nov. 30. According to Nielsen Music, it sold 113,000 equivalent album units.
According to Sony Music, Courage is also No. 1 in Canada, where it had the highest one-week sales for any artist this year. The label said it is Dion’s 15th album to top the chart in her native country.
South of the border, Courage is Dion’s first No. 1 album since A New Day Has Come in 2002 and her fifth to top the chart. She has had a No. 1 album in each of the last three decades, something only three other female artists – Janet Jackson, Barbra Streisand and Britney Spears – have done.

In 1997, Dion's Let's Talk About Love debuted at No. 2 with sales of 334,000 in the U.S. but went on to sell a whopping 31 million copies thanks to the Titanic single "My Heart Will Go On."
Dion is the first Canadian with an album in at the top of the Billboard 200 since Drake’s Care Package in August.
Another Canadian artist has the second most popular album in the U.S. Tory Lanez is at No. 2 with Chixtape 5.
The Toronto singer knocked Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding down one spot. Taylor Swift’s Lover is at No. 4, followed by What You See Is What You Get by country artist Luke Combs.
