Chance the Rapper has pulled the plug on a tour for the second time.
“I know it sucks and its been a lot of back and forth with reschedules and rerouting, but it’s for the best,” he wrote in a message to fans on Instagram. “I’m gonna take this time to be with family, make some new music and develop my best show to date.”
In September, Chance cited family as the reason behind his decision to postpone his tour. A concert in Toronto scheduled for Nov. 4 was bumped to Feb. 12, 2020 and his Nov. 7 show in Montreal was moved to Feb. 13. No new date was set for a scheduled Nov. 5 stop in Ottawa.
The Big Tour was scheduled to kick off Jan. 15 in San Diego and run until Feb. 24.
On Sunday, the rap star apologized for disappointing fans again.
“I’m deeply sorry to anyone with a ticket who has supported me this past decade by coming to a show and rocking out with me and I feel even worse for anyone who was planning on making this their first Chance concert,” he wrote.
“I promise to come back much stronger and better in 2020 and hope to see some of you guys there.”
