Charlotte Cardin has announced she will drop a surprise EP that was recorded in Nashville, TN this Friday (May 17).
A Week in Nashville marks the Montreal singer-songwriter's second EP since her Juno-winning 2023 album, 99 Nights. Last November she released the French language EP, Une Semaine à Paris.
Cardin shared the first track from the new EP, "Lonely with Our Love," which she gave some insight into on her Instagram account.
"Loneliness is such a universal feeling, but there's a distinct kind that comes with being with someone. And that's the heart of 'Lonely with Our Love,'" she explains. "I wrote this song with the extremely talented Gabe Simon, and it was one of those rare, magical sessions where the song just unfolded on its own. We wanted to capture that complex, paradoxical feeling of being alone together."
