Chester Bennington’s ex-wife Samantha Olit has reportedly filed a claim to the late rock singer’s estate for money she says she is owed.
Olit was married to the Linkin Park frontman from 1996 to 2005, and had son Draven together.
Bennington remarried in 2005 and he and Talinda were together up until his death earlier this year. Last month, it was revealed that Bennington’s entire estate would be left to Talinda and their six children.
According to TMZ, Olit claims that she is owed child support from 2012 to 2017, which she estimates around $502,500 U.S. plus interest and is seeking some of Bennington’s merchandise and music royalty rights.
At the time of her ex-husband's death, Olit wrote an emotional message on her Facebook: “I have always missed him singing throughout our home and loved it when he would visit, he would sing for us every time we ask or just spontaneously. He absolutely had a God given talent! We are all created the same & connected so Chester you are never ‘gone.’ Our souls & energy are forever connected.”
On Dec. 15, Linkin Park paid tribute to Bennington by releasing a live album from the late singer’s final tour, entitled One More Light Live.
