Childish Gambino surprised fans by debuting “This Is America" with a video and a performance on Saturday Night Live.
“I know you wanna party / Party just for me / Girl, you got me dancin’ / Dancin’ free,” he sings. “This is America / Police be trippin’ now / Yeah, this is America / Guns in my area."
After the release of the video, Gambino made a shirtless appearance on SNL, accompanied by dancers in uniform.

“This Is America” is the first release from Gambino since 2016’s Awaken, My Love!.
