The late Chris Cornell’s widow and ex-wife are fighting over his fortune.
Court documents obtained by The Blast revealed that the singer’s first wife Susan Silver is seeking child support and a percentage of Cornell’s royalties.
TMZ reported that Silver is also seeking money for their daughter Lillian’s college tuition from the Cornell Family Trust, one of the beneficiaries listed in Cornell’s 2004 will.
“Sources connected to the Cornell family tell TMZ, Lily enrolled in a California college last year and the trust paid her $21,000 tuition for each semester,” it reported. “We’re told after the first week of instruction in the second semester, Lilly dropped out.”
Cornell’s widow Vicky administers her husband’s estimated $20 million U.S. estate. She has asked a court to dismiss Silver’s application.
The Soundgarden singer died by suicide in May 2017.
