While attending the 2016 Canadian Country Music Award in London, Ontario, Chris Lane was startled during an interview.
The American Country singer was giving a casual interview to CMT Canada when host Paul McGuire snapped the plaque out and surprised the artist. It is the singer's first Canadian Gold Plaque award, which not only tracks digital downloads, but also streaming.
Fix, the single being awarded, came out in October 2015, as well as part of the album, Girl Problems, which came out in August 2016 on Big Loud Records.
