Chris Stapleton revealed Friday that his wife Morgane is pregnant again – only seven months after the couple welcomed twins.
News of a fifth child came during the country star's concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
"Some of you may know that we have four children,” the musician said. "We just had twins, about seven months ago. Now there’s four for us, but we’re gonna make it five!”
The crowd erupted in applause. Morgane was on stage with her husband.
The twins entered the world more than a month early, and as a result Stapleton wasn't able to attend the 53rd annual Country Music Award ceremony, where he won album of the year. In his absence, Reba McEntire accepted the award on his behalf and announced the babies' arrival.
"Those little rascals came a little bit early," McEntire said, adding that Stapleton and his wife were home in Nashville with their new babies. “Hot off the press! … Twin boys.”
