This year’s editions of Coachella and Stagecoach, the popular Southern California music festivals, have been postponed over concerns about COVID-19.
“We take the safety and health of our guests, staff and community very seriously,” read a statement issued late Tuesday by promoter Goldenvoice. It said the decision was made in consultation with local health authorities.
Coachella, scheduled for April 10 to 12 and April 17 to 19, has been bumped to Oct. 9 to 11 and Oct. 16 to 18.

This year’s line-up included Canadians Carly Rae Jepsen, Jessie Reyez, Daniel Caesar, PUP, Badbadnotgood, Orville Peck, Ali Gatie, Dan Snaith (as both Daphi and Caribou) and Guy Laliberté.
Stagecoach, which spotlights country music, has been moved to Oct. 23 to 25.
Riverside County, home to the two festivals, has reported six cases of coronavirus, including four in the Coachella Valley.
