Bryan Abrams, one of the founding members of ‘90s pop group Color Me Badd, was arrested Saturday night in upstate New York for allegedly assaulting bandmate Mark Calderon.
After walking off the stage earlier in the show, Abrams strolled back out after Calderon and two other singers finished performing the hit “I Wanna Sex You Up.”
He shoved Calderon, causing him to fall on sound equipment on the stage. Calderon, 47, was taken by ambulance to Geneva General Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries and released.
Abrams, 48, was charged with attempted assault in the 3rd degree. He was released on $2,000 U.S. bond and is due back in court on Aug. 28.
Color Me Badd is touring as part of the I Love The 90s Tour, which stops in Oro-Medonte, Ont. on Aug. 18, Kitchener, Ont. on Aug. 19, and in Vancouver on Aug. 23.
