Corey Hart had plenty of surprises on Wednesday for students at Juniper Ridge Intermediate in Torbay, NL.
The Canadian singer dropped in to unveil a donation of $10,000 worth of instruments – including recorders, a sax, bass guitar, ukuleles and a drum kit.
Children at the school – which didn’t have any instruments when it opened in 2017 – screamed with excitement at the donation from the MusiCounts program.
Hart then performed “Sonny’s Dream,” the popular folk song by Newfoundlander Ron Hynes, and his hit “Never Surrender.”
The singer also handed out 400 tickets to his concert on Friday night at Mile One in St. John’s.
