BTS barred members of the media from attending its press conference on Monday due to fears of the spread of coronavirus.
“We have decided to carry out the press conference without any members of the press and fans as your safety and health is our utmost priority,” read a statement from Big Hit Entertainment.
Instead, the members of BTS answered pre-selected questions from journalists during a livestream from inside a nearly-empty venue in Seoul.
Big Hit said the group wanted to “fully cooperate with the government’s policy to refrain from holding events with a massive number of participants in order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.”
South Korea recently confirmed 60 more cases, bringing its total to 893. The outbreak forced the cancellation of the Korean Music Awards. Instead, winners will be announced online on Feb. 27.

BTS has several television appearances lined up in the coming days but each will be taped without a live audience.
“Health is always on our minds these days, and our messages of facing your inner self and loving yourself are ultimately only possible when you're healthy," Jimin said during the livestream.
