Country music stars took to social media late Monday to share their shock and grief over a deadly terror attack outside an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England.
At least 22 people were killed and nearly 60 injured in the blast, which happened just as fans were leaving the Manchester Arena.
“Just hearing about the explosions at the Arianna (sic) concert,” tweeted Blake Shelton. “Praying for everybody!! Sick..”
“Hard 2 find words,” wrote Martina McBride. “I don’t want 2 believe this can actually happen.”
Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum got the news while on a flight. “Thinking about all the victims,” he tweeted. “Praying for the families.”

Dan + Shay shared: “Concert are supposed to be a place where people can go to escape the problems of this f**ked up world. Thoughts and prayers.”
“Speechless,” tweeted Cassadee Pope.
“Absolutely heart breaking,” wrote Maddie & Tae.
Darius Rocker sent his “heart and prayers” to the people in Manchester. “I love that city. God bless you all!!”
“Live music should be the escape from the madness,” tweeted Eli Young Band. “Let’s never forget that.”
Walker McGuire echoed that thought. “Concerts are supposed to be a time to have fun and forget worldly problems. This is awful.”
Brad Paisley expressed what so many are feeling: “Can’t find the right words, just sadness.”
Other country acts, including Rascal Flatts, Billy Ray Cyrus, Kimberly Perry, Chris Young, and The Cadillac Three shared similar sentiments.
