DaBaby performed Saturday in front of a crowd in Georgia, where COVID-19 cases have surged recently.
Video clips from the show at the Cosmopolitan Premier Lounge in Decatur show no social distancing as well as fans without masks or with masks pulled down to their chins.
Ahead of the concert, promoter MyDJDre told TMZ there would be a no-mask, no-entry policy and that masks will be required to remain on at all times. Fans would also be subject to temperature checks and health questions before entering the venue, where capacity was to be reduced by 60 per cent.
In an Instagram post, @djkuttthroat said “the whole city came out.” He urged critics of the event to blame Georgia governor Brian Kemp and U.S. president Donald Trump “for not making face mask mandatory & holding election rallies during this pandemic.”
DaBaby has not publicly commented on the show.
Georgia has had nearly 90,000 COVID-19 cases and more than 2,800 deaths.
Last week, rapper Vanilla Ice scrapped a show set for July 3 in Austin, Texas after being criticised on social media. Country singers Chase Rice and Chris Janson were slammed late last month for performing concerts in front of fans who were not social distancing or wearing masks.
