Dallas Green released a song this week from a City and Colour album he expects to deliver this fall – his first studio album since 2015.
The Canadian musician also shared November tour dates, with special guests Jacob Banks and Ben Rogers.
Of the new single “Astronaut,” Green explained in a release: “I always think of the relationships in my life that have been fractured because I ended up doing what I do for a living. I’m always gone, wandering around and singing songs. However, it weighs on my family and friends.
“I'm asking for 'one more year.' I left home at 21 to go play my guitar. It's lonely, but it's because I yearn to wander. I'm aware of how lucky I am.”
The 38-year-old Alexisonfire musician moved back to Canada not too long ago after living in Nashville.
City and Colour will warm-up for the road trip with a series of festival gigs this summer, including Montreal’s Osheaga and Saint John’s Area 506.
Tickets for his November tour go on sale June 7.
